There’s no place like home.

This morning I stepped outside into a world brushed with quiet magic. The road that winds past my cottage here in the County Clare countryside was edged with silver frost, every blade of grass and roadside hedge gently tickled by the cold breath of -2°C dawn. Above it all, the sky opened in a wash of rose, amber, and soft violet, as if the day itself was waking slowly and stretching.

After time away, there is something deeply grounding about returning to this view. The curve of the lane. The bare branches reaching into the light. The stillness before the world stirs.

Winter is holding on for a moment longer, but spring is already whispering promises. Soon these frosted fields will burst into green, and wildflowers will scatter colour across the hills. I can almost see it.
