“Blissful Ignorance” — Times Square, New York City — August 27, 2025

On display August 27, 2025, on the giant video screen in New York City’s iconic Times Square was my artwork “Blissful Ignorance” from my Tides of Tomorrow series, which highlights the urgent realities of climate change and rising tides.

This piece was featured in rotation on the 55 x 31 ft. billboard at 1560 Broadway (between 46th and 47th Street), above the Pelé store.

The composite artwork combines two places close to my heart:

• A sandy path and beach from the island of Inisheer in County Galway’s Aran Islands.
• Powerful ocean waves from Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way in County Clare.

It was an honour to see a work born on Ireland’s coast displayed on Broadway in heart of Manhattan. It was featured in July 2025 on the Las Vegas Strip.
